In a chilling incident in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, the distressing cry of a 1-year-old grandson triggered a brutal response from his mentally disturbed grandfather, Kamalkant. Angered by the child's crying, Kamalkant attacked his grandson, Ayush, with a stick, resulting in the immediate death of the innocent child.
The tragedy escalated as Ayush's mother, Shikha, bravely intervened to save her son but faced a fatal assault herself. Shikha succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the district hospital. The police, including SP Chakresh Mishra, swiftly responded to the scene, apprehended Kamalkant, and recovered the murder weapon, shedding light on the alarming intersection of mental health challenges and crime.
The shocking double murder took place in Deoria, within the Talgaon police station area. Kamalkant was promptly arrested by the police, and the murder weapon was recovered.
